Fine-art print
Lothlórien

Each print is carefully prepared, printed and checked by me before it leaves the studio. I take great care over every stage of the process, from the photograph itself to the finished print, so that it can be enjoyed in your home for many years.
“This 40” print will take pride of place on my wall in my living room. My wife, who has no real interest in photography, was also gobsmacked by the quality of the print. Too often, the word “awesome” is cast about with abandon but it genuinely applies here. Looking at it, you feel that you could almost step into the image and it is certainly deserving of its mythical, fantastical nomenclature. The best testimonial I can give to this image is that it has furthered my desire to hopefully purchase one or two more of Simon’s prints in the future. Many thanks Simon!”

About the photograph
Everyday life can sometimes feel a little ordinary, but step into a quiet, mist-filled woodland rich in character and life, and the boundary between reality and imagination begins to soften. Among twisted trunks, drifting vapour and fern-covered slopes, it becomes easy to believe that elves, goblins and hidden realms might truly exist.
In J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, Lothlórien is an Elven realm near the Misty Mountains, also known as the Golden Wood. The silver-grey trunks, golden bracken and trees dissolving into mist carried something of that same enchantment. For a moment, this familiar corner of woodland seemed to belong to another world.
