Description

The reality of life can sometimes feel a little bland, but take a walk in a quiet misty woodland of character that is rich with life – you will be forgiven for thinking that elves, goblins and magical realms really do exist.

Lothlórien was a forest and Elven realm near the lower Misty Mountains in J. R. R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. Also known as The Golden Wood, Lothlórien was a magical place and the fairest realm of the Elves in Middle-earth.

“There are no trees like the trees of that land. For in the autumn their leaves fall not, but turn to gold. Not till the spring and the new green opens do they fall, and then the boughs are laden with yellow flowers; and the floor of the wood is golden, and golden is the roof, and its pillars are of silver, for the bark of the trees is smooth and grey.”

40 x 20″ Print review

“This will take pride of place on my wall in my living room. My wife, who has no real interest in photography, was also gobsmacked by the quality of the print. Too often, the word “awesome” is cast about with abandon but it genuinely applies here. Looking at it, you feel that you could almost step into the image and it is certainly deserving of its mythical, fantastical nomenclature. The best testimonial I can give to this image is that it has furthered my desire to hopefully purchase one or two more of Simon’s prints in the future. Many thanks Simon!”
